What is Lumen Journal?
Lumen Journal is a private memory journal available on the web today, with an iPhone app currently in private TestFlight beta. It organizes entries around the people, feelings, places, and moments in your life so you can revisit connections that a chronological diary can hide.
Is my private journal used to train a public AI model?
No. Lumen does not intentionally use private journal entries to train a public AI model. Core journaling features work without sending entries to an external AI provider, and no external AI provider is currently enabled in production.
What is included for free?
The free web plan includes up to 15 memories, guided questions, Journal, Universe and Insights views, search, and JSON or ZIP export. iPhone sync and private reminders will be included when the iPhone app launches.
How much is Lumen Plus?
Lumen Plus is not yet for sale. The planned U.S. App Store launch price is $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. The annual plan is about $6.67 per month and costs 33% less than twelve monthly payments. Apple will display the final localized price before purchase.
Where do I buy or manage a subscription?
Lumen Plus is not yet available for public purchase, and the website has no card checkout. When subscriptions launch with the iPhone app, purchase, restore, and management will use Apple's App Store after verified cross-platform entitlement sync is enabled.
Can I export my memories or delete my account?
Yes. You can export your account as JSON or as a ZIP archive that includes stored attachments. You can also permanently delete your account and associated journal data from the account controls.
Is Lumen Journal a therapy or medical service?
No. Lumen is a tool for personal journaling and reflection, not a medical, mental-health, crisis, legal, or financial service. Contact local emergency services or a qualified professional when you need urgent or professional help.
We record life, but we rarely get to see its shape.
